ADACOM CY participated as a Sponsor at the 2nd Cyber Security Conference, which took place on the 26th of October 2022, at Hilton Nicosia Hotel, with the theme “Safeguarding the digital economy”.

The objective of the Cyber Security Conference is to provide insights into setting up, maintaining and improving information security, protection against hybrid threats and protection of critical infrastructure of companies and institutions. This can only be achieved through education on how to prevent, detect and defend against cyberattacks.

The Conference is addressed to directors and managers of institutions and organizations, including ICT departments, people in charge of cyber security in corporations, the Government and its institutions; government ministries, international organizations, financial institutions (banks, insurance companies), telecommunications, auditing and IT companies, as well as other participants whose business requires data security.

During the conference Mrs. Altani Batoudaki, Cyprus Country Manager of ADACOM Cyber Security, was participated at the Panel Discussion:

"How Cyprus Businesses are dealing with cyber security issues" and analyzed how a company’s security management depends on its leadership. How Cyprus businesses convey the importance of information security and the message that cybersecurity is everyone’s responsibility. Why the task of establishing a culture of cybersecurity is not easy, but if done correctly, it can provide the best defense against cyberattacks.

Also in the conference Mrs. Anna Michael, Information Security L2 SOC Analyst, ADACOM Cyber Security CY, at her presentation titled: "Ransomware and Resiliency" referred to how business leaders must constantly examine their approach to cyber security in order to combat threats and minimize damage in the event of an attack, as new models of ransomware emerge and attacks become more frequent.
